She asked for....Sz...Szy....I seriously look at his name and I don't know how to pronounce it! Which leads me to my next point I'm not a Bleach fan; I don't know anything about this guy.
So, I'm so sorry if I killed him, forgive me Bleach fans. All I knew based on wikipedia is that he comes off as some kind of evil genius. I was trying to capture that in the picture, but I dont know that it came across well.
Also, this is my first "lame" attempt at "cell-shading".... And I attempted a different pose I don't normally do and that was challenging.....forgive me if the anatomy isn't 100% correct. Of all the swordsmen pics, it took me a little bit to find a halfway decent pic to reference off of.
Anway, I hope you enjoy it Champion-Koga!
P.S. The fact that I got this done in a week proves I have no social life!!
Materials: Photoshop CS3 extended Wacom Tablet
Time: Roughly: 1-2 hours for drawing 2-4 for coloring
Music: random stuff
Szayel is owned by whoever made the manga Bleach. All I own is the pic itself.
I have no idea who he is to..haha but I like the pose you gave him

Amazing. Simply amazing. Not a Bleach fan myself, so I have no clue who the heck that is, but prior knowledge isn't always required to enjoy something.
Also, if the blade behind the back (assuming I am viewing this correctly) appears, due primarily to the positioning of the right wrist, to be pointing the sword down and slightly behind the back of the person. The blade, though, is in front of the left hand, which is clearly in front of the person. This leads to a very good question:
Is the blade curved or is my sight just wrong?
Regardless of my pointless nitpicking, allow me to convey my admiration for your anatomy skills...most specifically your wrists / hands. You have mastered the elusive art that I cannot seem to fathom. XD

As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same.
